Do you want to gain more clarity to create more of what you want in your life? Here are 3 simple steps you can take to find the answers you are looking for:

  1. Know what you don’t want. Knowing what you don’t want helps you create a roadmap toward what you do want. Start by looking around you. Maybe you see people who are struggling financially, are in jobs they don’t like, or have unhealthy relationships. Start there. Take out a piece of paper and write down everything you absolutely know you don’t want.
  1. Figure out what your interests are. What is it that you do like? What are the hobbies you gravitate toward? Who are the people you enjoy being with? Allow those thoughts to circulate and start to create a list—“I love to cook, I love to garden, I love art, I love meeting new people.” Think about the people who inspire you; they are going to give you clues about what interests you. Just start writing down these new ideas a little bit at a time in your journal.
  1. Start experimenting. Think of life as if you are a scientist. Try new things, and try them with new people. Having new experiences opens up your mind, and then these new ideas become new outcomes and new realities. Do things that make you feel uncomfortable because on the other side of that is clarity: it’s either going to be “No, I don’t like that” or “Yes, I want to do more of that!” Life is an experiment; it’s either a yes or a no. Add the all the yesses to your list of interests and all the no’s to what you don’t want in your life.

If you can just get clear about what you want to feel and experience just this week, you’ll be ahead of the game. If you chunk it down one day at a time—just 1% percent at a time—you’re going to gain the clarity you want and create your very best life.

My greatest desire for you is to live a beautiful, blessed life. I love to hear which one of those steps you’re going to put into action right now.
