It is my mission to make a difference in your life + business.

That being said

…beginning this week, our blog format has changed to “The Sunday Scoop” where I will share valuable tools each week in the following areas:

Daily Habits + Technology News + Business Innovation + Favorite Quotes + Recommended Read + Free Gift

1. Daily Habit: Breath-Work
While it’s well known we can calm ourselves down through breathing, it is now understood that intentional breathing is a key tool the brain uses to self-regulate: that is, to control energy and emotional states (including increased focus + mental clarity + creativity).

2. Technology News: Meta’s new social media platform “Threads”
The new app, launched 4 days ago, was built by the Instagram team for the purpose of sharing conversational style like text messaging. It’s considered a rival to Twitter – and appears to be the most rapidly downloaded app ever – and is expected to exceed 100 million users within two month. The big names have already jumped right in.

3. Business Innovation: Win Stacking (Share this on Threads or Twitter.)

The “win stacking” concept is simple: build your list of wins, however small, that reinforce your belief in your ability to succeed and/or get things done. This is KEY is to teach your brain that you keep the promises you make to yourself, and small wins along the way add up to big ones.

Remember: if you’re struggling to identify wins or find yourself comparing yourself to others, think back to where you started or where you came from and how far you have come…not how far you are away from your goal or where you’re yet to be.

Examples: Did you make your bed this morning? Get a good night’s rest? Eat a healthy breakfast? Exercise? Tackle your morning to-do list? These are all things that, when celebrated elicit a feeling of “I can do this”…because you know you’ve already done it.

4. Favorite Quote of the Week: “Hurt People, Hurt People, Empowered People, Empower People” (Share this on Threads or Twitter.)

Remember this quote when you find yourself feeling disappointed or upset with someone who seems to be inconsiderate, self centered, or flat out mean.

5. Favorite Book of the Week: The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin
An oldie but a great read. I have learned more new words from this book alone than I have in anything else I’ve ever read. It also provides fascinating insight into what made Ben Franklin so successful for so long.

A few examples of new words I’m referencing above: knave, sagacious, mite, nettle, expostulate… (curious? take a quick moment to look them up)
