Last week, I shared about my recent trip to Europe and the shortness of life. In particular because life is incredibly valuable and flies by quickly which is why I choose to live in the moment and be proactive.
Which brings me to today’s message on mantras (aka, affirmations, declarations and power statements)…
I woke up this morning at 4:45AM and listened to a video sermon by Bishop T.D. Jakes “It’s Worth the Wait.” It was incredibly powerful (I’ll post the link below).
Here is the thing, before I even hit the video play button I started with my first mantra of the day as I silently recited
“It is with love and gratitude I welcome this day.”
I do so as a way to remember that today is gift and not to be taken for granted.
Then I gave myself a moment to “DEEPLY FEEL” the words.
Then I continued to speak out-loud…
“I set an intention to be the highest & best version of myself.”
Then I paused, again, to deeply feel the emotions connected to my words.
Lastly, I took a deep inhale and spoke…
“Dear Higher Power, use me as a vessel for
greater good in the world.”
These words help me set the tone for my day. Without them I feel “off and uncertain” however with them I feel “positive, aligned, and supported.”
I don’t know what your personal morning practice looks like I only share them today to humbly offer my own personal practice.
